Goal: develop identity for Taymyr Dolgano-Nenets Autonomous Okrug or Taymyria, a federal district and the northernmost area in the mainland Russia. The administrative district is named after the Taymyr Peninsula. It is also called Dolgan-Nenets Autonomous Okrug after the indigenous people of the region, Dolgans and Nenetses.

 

Solution: design concept was inspired by colorful and detail-oriented traditional crafts and clothing of indigenous people. In the general design patern we have combined main elements of embroidery from the five local ethnic groups -Dolgans, Nenets, Nganasans, Evenks and Enets.
